- I was involved with the finance industry for 37 years before "retiring" in 2012. I finally realised that the fast pace of the industry was taking a toll on my health and I made the decision to leave my then employer after 34 years of service. People say you can "re-invent" yourself, so I suppose you could say this is what I'm doing. I've made big changes to my diet and exercise and cannot believe the positive changes that these have made to my health and how I now view life. My wife, Kim was very supportive and began sharing some of changes I was making and she too has become transformed, not only normalising her weight issues to the extent that she has not only effortlessly trimmed down to the svelt figure of her teens, but has also resolved other health issues and is now practically free from medications altogether. I'm so proud of her achievements. After helping friends and family who are now becoming healthier, I realised that I was deriving immense satisfaction from their success and made me realise that I have the power to help many others. I hope you enjoy my blog.

I see one of your diagrams shows a facet lift pump and the hand drawn one doesn't. Are you using a lift pump right after the VO tank? If so, what size/model of facet pump is that?

It was the Facet Dura-Lift, which is the biggie of the Facet pump family. However, I found that the stock lift pump installed in the Mercedes W123 (and other models) was easily capable of moving the veg oil fuel, so I eliminated it. You definitely don't need one in a Mercedes.
I've seen some designs where the stock lift pumps are only used by the one fuel circuit and another lift pump of some sort is used for the other circuit. In my opinion, this is an unnecessary complication that adds another point of likely failure and maintenance. Keeping it simple is the way to go if you want a reliable system!
