I see one of your diagrams shows a facet lift pump and the hand drawn one doesn't. Are you using a lift pump right after the VO tank? If so, what size/model of facet pump is that?

Sorry, I just sent you the anonymous comment. I'm not sure how to show you my email for response, so I'm going to put it in this comment that you obviously won't approve for publishing. Sorry I couldn't find an easier way to contact you. Thanks so much for this blog it has been extremely helpful in my conversion!

It was the Facet Dura-Lift, which is the biggie of the Facet pump family. However, I found that the stock lift pump installed in the Mercedes W123 (and other models) was easily capable of moving the veg oil fuel, so I eliminated it. You definitely don't need one in a Mercedes.

I've seen some designs where the stock lift pumps are only used by the one fuel circuit and another lift pump of some sort is used for the other circuit. In my opinion, this is an unnecessary complication that adds another point of likely failure and maintenance. Keeping it simple is the way to go if you want a reliable system!
